Our products are based in cutting-edge microfabrication technologies developed at Sandia National Laboratories. Sandia invested more than $25 Million since 1996 in development of a hand-helf miniaturized chemical analysis laboratory that utilizes this cutting-edge microfabrication technology. One version of this hand-held autonomous microchemical analysis system was independently tested at the Edgewood Chemical and Biological Center. The results showed superior performance for detection of live chemical warfare agents. This system demonstrated high selectivity, sensitivity and speed enabling the detection of the target chemical agents - even in the presence of high concentrations of background chemicals.

Current sensitive and reliable chemical analysis is done in formal laboratory settings with large (occupying more than ten cubic feet) and expensive (more than $20,000 per unit) instrumentation and analysis times typically ranging from ten to sixty minutes. Nanodetex' LOC platform technology represents a paradigm shift in chemical analysis with significant improvements in speed (ten times faster) and size (greater than one hundred times smaller) at a very competitive cost. In addition, the chip-based modular nature and small size of our product enables a wide range of new system applications outside the laboratory environment. In essence, rather than taking a sample to the laboratory, we enable the analysis to be completed at the sample location.
